Some nights are better than others. Some nights, I fall asleep quickly, and wake 5-7 hrs later with the mask/nose pillows on. Unfortunately, they are the exception and not the rule. I've been at this for more than three months, and have experienced the following problems:
1. "Mask ripping": Not often, usually don't remember it. Sometimes done when awake due to frustration.
2. Air in stomach: Only occasionally, excessive burping in the morning
3. No discernible effect on daytime condition. Still tired, low energy, etc.
4. Most importantly, as often as not, I experience major episodes with the mask on. At times, it feels like instead of blowing air, it's vacuuming air, and inhaling is impossible. I jerk awake 3-7 times in a two-hour span before eventually having to give up and stay awake for another 2-3 hours, whereupon I start over.Again, this has been going on for 3+ months. I have both OSA and CSA, and was told that it's relatively mild. My question is, is any of this abnormal? Most of what I've read here concerns CPAPs, and no post seems to mirror my own. (Of course, as I said, I only went through a few hundred threads, not the thousands that are here.)
Any input would be appreciated.
