Posted by Retro on July 26, 2009 at 04:53:43:Hi all, I just picked up my new CPAP on Friday, and on the whole, it's been a very positive experience. The sleep I've been getting is great, with only one problem. Each night, around four or five in the morning, (which is close to when I get up anyway,) I wake up to find that my face mask is spraying water from the humidifier into my face. The first night I figured I just needed to turn the humidifier up, so I turned it up to nearly the highest setting. This morning I once again woke up with water in my mask. I've been thinking about trying it tonight without any water in the tank, or maybe not filling it up quite as much. (Maybe only halfway to the mark.)
Does anyone have any suggestions? I live in Arizona and it is Monsoon season, so I guess there is more humidity in the air than usual. My father in law has a CPAP and says he doesn't ever use the Humidifier unless it's winter. I may try it without tonight and see how that goes.
