I know a lot of people feel they need the humidity, but hey, it's only room air. It's not pure oxygen. It's already probably at 60 percent humidity. You might try doing without it. I'm also pretty sure it reduces the likelihood of bacterial contamination, since bacteria thrive in a humid environment.
