Thanks BC for your advice and understanding. I have been trying to deal with the grief through talking to a bereavement counsellor. I suppose I'm reluctant to go down the medication route because I know people who have had problems with side-effects and withdrawal symptoms, and also because I still have to see the neuro (appointment next Friday - whoopee!) and don't want to muddy the waters. However if he can't come up with a diagnosis, I may give them a try. Take care. Phil
