Absolutely, you'll have to do like many of us and press the issue with your doctors. You may even have to change doctors. But you are showing classic signs of apnea. Your brain will eventually learn that sleeping is a life-threatening situation and not let you, that part is no fun either.

In the mean time, you may want to make sure to sleep on your side, or even propped up in a recliner to limit the number and severity of the events.

Really, you're gonna have to be assertive on this to get it taken care of.
