Is there a link? I'm getting a rise in tinnitus in my left ear. This is totally identical to the post below from Phil Stocker in 2002 in the archives

"I have been using my CPAP (covers entire nose while sleeping) for about 1.5 years now. Although the benefits are many, the problems I have are now starting to become many as well. I have sinus congestion (even with humidifier), and plugging in my ears (every night). The worst problem just happened here recently, within the past 3-4 months, and that is a very loud ringing in my left ear (tinnitus). Every since I was a kid I have had a small amount of tinnitus (due to quite a few ear infections). But this was something that a small fan or even a ceiling fan could cover the sound of, and it only bothered me when it was extremely quiet. However, it has gotten much worse. I only have this new ringing in my left ear, but it is so loud that I can hear it over just about every day to day noise, and it is extremely aggrivating. I either sleep on my left side or on my back, and rarely move thoughout the night. I am afraid that I will lose my hearing in that ear if I can't find out what is wrong.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this?
