I think we all have held back waiting for someone more qualified to give a response. Sandman is right that this isn't the best location to help you. In part, also, I fear saying something that is trite and that doesn't seem to take your situation seriously.

Sleep apnea has pluses and minuses. Of course I'd rather not have it, but there is a straightforward treatment with few side effects.

It does sound like depression might be the issue, and that is much more complicated and individual. In part it reflects a chemical imbalance, but a drug that helps one person may not help another. Sometimes it takes trial and error to find the right medication. In part, too, dealing with depression can involve teaching yourself to think in different ways, which I believe is what Lucinda Bassett promotes. That approach makes sense to me, and I think we all need to learn new ways of thinking.

For me, staying active and busy is part of what gives my life meaning, but I can't say that is true for you. I do know that many are helped by doing things for others (e.g., at nursing homes or hospices); somehow it helps us when we help others.

I'm an introvert, but I think an introvert can enjoy a few deep relationships even if not having as many relationships. Enjoy who you are, and don't worry if you are different from someone else. It's the differences that help to make life rich.

God bless you.
