Mask Making Rude Noises (leaking)

I am doing my darnedest to get sorted out with my new mask and machine. The first several nights it was great, no leakage, kept the mask on almost all night and was thrilled.

Then came the weird noises, and the major leakage around my chin. Another very odd thing is happening. For some reason, the blow-out, is whistling. I can't explain it very well, but where the excess air comes out from the mask, it starts making a very high pitched whistling noise, that increases as the pressure goes up. Sometimes I can get it to stop, but sometimes it comes back.

Any ideas/suggestions or advice gladly accepted! I am about ready to give up again, and after such a good start, it makes me angry!

I am using a Fisher & Paykel Flexi-Fit 432 full face mask. It fits below the chin, and on the lower portion of the nose, rather than fully on it.

I have tried loosening and tightening the headgear, and adjusting it to different levels on my nose/chin. Nothing seems to work, and I am ending up ripping it off my face just to get sleep. It sounds like my mask is passing gas...disgusting!

Help!
