Posted by bredren on November 25, 2009 at 01:12:22:hello, i've been managing to fall asleep with the cpap. My pressure is 11, they've given me various pressures over the years. So, on average, in the space of the first 2 hours of sleep, I've physically woken up 3 different times. What conclusion, if any, might one make from this ?
for a long while, the problem for me seemed to be getting to sleep. i was told, just get to sleep, the machine will do its thing.
this is obstructive sleep apnea, with about 30 apneas an hour in the sleep lab.

a second question is how does a person know they don't have central apnea instead of obstructive, or in addition to obstructive...thanks in advance for any / all replies...
