I feel the need to clarify that, as a disorder, central sleep apnea is (much) different from and more serious than having a single central apnea event from time to time. Having one central apnea a night, for example, does not mean you have CSA and a single sleep apnea event can be brought on by too much pressure. A proper diagnosis of Central Sleep Apnea is best found from a sleep study. For those home investigation types, there are auto paps than can record central sleep apnea events, such as the P&B 420E, which has a separate sense line inside the hose. Used with the Silver lining s/w package, you can tell if you're having centrals. Important to confirm here, though, that these autos do not effectively treat the disorder of central sleep apnea as correctly stated by rtwithosa.
