Hello,

I use a regular CPAP and I cannot use a nasal mask. It appears that the pressure of the nasal mask closes down my sinunes. I think it has to do with the pressure all around the nose, even though the pressure is light my nasal passages close up after ten minutes of wearing a nasal mask.

Have you tried the "Mirage Liberty" CPAP mask? It is not like a full face masks. It covers your mouth and has nasal pillows going up to the nostrils.

If you go to Google images and enter "mirage liberty cpap mask" you can see what it looks like.

I have had great success with it, although my CPAP technician says it is one of those masks that either works great for a person or fails miserably. Make sure you try before you buy.

I find the key to this mask is all about proper initial placeent and the use of a CPAP pillow with carve outs.
