Are you talking about a trach? I kwould think that is kind of drastic. My father had a trach, and he was forever trying to clean it and honestly, it was a mess. I would certainly think twice before doing that!
My brother had surgery on the inside of his neck, a mouth piece, etc. But nothing helped but the mask! Believe me, I know how awful it can be. I am also on the Quattro, and I get the same leaks! Drives one crazy! I am on 16 pressure, and as long as it is on ramp, I don[t get leaks, but once it kicks up the leaks start! I do put a head band just above the valve that opens when you remove the hose, and that has helped the mouth leaks some! I don't really know what the answer is, and it must be terrible for you not be be able to have a practice after all the years of school. Let us kow if you find a solution!
