Ok I know Im an insomniac, this which is difficult I can live with. However the dangers linked to sleep apnea are pretty frightening. Until I stumbled accross this page just out of pure bordem here at 3:30 in the morning in the uk I didnt really know what sleep apnea was.
For a long time now I wake up gasping for air, almost passing out, feeling very faint. And very often its just when Ive drifted off to sleep. Is this sleep apnea? I do feel tired in the daytime but I dont suffer from headaches in the morning.
Also the twitching and body jerking is pretty much regular when falling asleep, and it didnt used to be as bad, even unnoticable. More recently over the past 6 months to a year I get twitches in the day time now in my legs and my head, this is starting to freak me out a little. Ive just ignored these issues for too long and just thought they would go away.but obviously not.
Im really not sure what to , I feel like abit of a hypercondriac if I was to go to the docs due to having previous problems.
Do any readers know how they can diagnose these issues and treat them in the uk?? The gp's in england seem to be pathetic and I have completely lost my faith in the NHS system. So I would like to know if anyones been in the same situation here in the uk??
