Hello Everyone, I have had a cpap machine for almost 4 years and clocked up 6,000 plus hours but just recently I have suffered from an extremely dry throat which I tend to blame the cpap therapy for rather than the worse than usual British winter. I have no idea that I have a bad throat until I take my mask off in the morning and then I start gagging on what seems like dry patches on a particularly sensitive area close to my uvula, in fact they might even touch and make me gag. Sometimes this goes during the day and I am always better by evening son I am convinced that the cpap or prone position are responsible. I guess this has happened to almost everyone at some time, any suggestions please. I have two machines, one a Resprionics M Series Auto without humidifier and the other a Resprionics Resmed M Series Cpap set at 7.00 with heated humidifier. I can deal with the dry nasal passages but this is something different, are there medications or oils that can be safely added to the humidifier water? Regards to all. English Eric
