I use the Synchrony with a backup rate for severe central apnea. In the past I have used a vent and this bi pap is just as good for my needs. It is so very quiet and at times I need to check to see if it is still on.

I feel you would be happy with it. Mine is set for 12 BPM and I transition from ipap to epap with zero problems.
