A started CPAP about 5 months ago and I must say that with it I have had some of the best sleeps of my whole life.
I used to wake up 35 times an hour, toss and turn, and snore loudly. Now, I hardly ever wake up, I don't make a sound, and I hardly move. I am partly aware of this while I sleep, and this is also what my wife has told me.
I am an overweight male, approaching 40 years of age. I weigh 260 and should probably weigh about 210-220. I am 6'3".
Anyway, about 3-4 weeks ago began to get some pain in the lower right abdomen. It has been pretty mild but persistent. And as time went by the pain would move a bit, and I would also feel some discomfort in my chest. I also feel like my chest might be congested or there could be fluids in and around it. I have had my heart tested numerous times (including fairly recently) and there are no issues with it. Bowel movements seem normal. No other symptoms that I can think of. But the pain, while being mild, persists. Could it be related to CPAP use? Could it be some sort of infection? Or maybe mucous being forced back into the stomach and intestines?
Frankly, I do worry about things like Cancer. But I also know this thing could be anything at all. I will soon have a full ultra sound done of my abdomen and pelvic area, so I hope this sheds light on things.
I have speculated that this problem could be related to CPAP use. AS I said, it could be air forced into the stomach, or something with regards to fluid/mucous that is effected by CPAP. But I do not rule out anything, and I know it may very well have nothing to do with CPAP.
Has anyone here had any issues like this? Does anyone have any ideas about what this could be? Could it be connected to CPAP use?
Thanks for your time!
