I too have had shoulder pain. I discovered the cause of mine - or at least what I am pretty sure is the cause. Most of my life I have moved a lot while sleeping. On CPAP I hardly move at all, and the effect of lying in one position, while totally restful, causes some pain. This pain quickly goes away when I stretch and looses up. I also think my body has simply got a bit used to it.
