Posted by Barb (Seattle) on March 18, 2010 at 16:17:43:got some good ideas, and looks like the pressure change worked. I'm on Bi-Pap, setting of 10-14...WAS 8-12. I was still having 35 apneas/hour, a little too high. He does say that quite a few of the apneas are central, so he's happy with 9-14/hour, as I would be...35 was way too high though.
He gave us an idea about how to rig the hose above my head with tubing (copper) so we'll see how that works. This apparatus will be portable, so I can take it to hotels with me :-) I was also given an idea about a pillow that has the side cut out for the hose. Ordered one on the internet just now. Hope THAT works, cause that hose is pulled all over the place when I'm on my back.
So..........hopefully, tonight will be more restful :-)
