Thanks for taking the time to read and respond. I think the doctors and the DMEs need to spend at least a WEEK using a CPAP before they can give advice.

My doctor told me that the interruptions in sleep due this don't have that much of a negative effect on my sleep, because the "quality" of sleep I'm getting during other times of the night is better with CPAP than without. Fortunately, I fall back to sleep rather quickly most of the time.

I don't know what kind of data they can get from the memory in the machine, but I use mine for about 10 hours a night. BUT, at least 2 or 3 of those hours are "awake." So the "indexes" per hour won't be accurate. Oh well!
