I just like to add something to BC's post. The causes of UARS are as diverse as OSA. The narrowing of the airway at the base of tongue is also common with UARS.

Bottom line, with UARS and OSA the problem can start at the tip of the nose and can continue all the way down to the lungs. Usually it is a problem in more than one area.
