Nasal pillows work quite well for me, and though I have allergies, I haven't had a problem with sneezing.

I wonder if you have the right size pillows? When I first was tested for the titration rate, I commented that the pillows felt very different because I could feel the air blowing, while I could not when I used the mask (just a constant pressure). The technician switched from a medium to a large, and I no longer felt the blowing. It seems that if the mask doesn't cause sneezing or sinus problems, then the nasal pillows shouldn't either.
