There are real health risks to sleep apnea; if untreated, it increases your chance of heart disease. If you have it, you would be better off treating it than just trying to compensate for sleepiness.

Some people adapt easily to CPAP and others don't. I didn't adapt easily, but I did eventually. That's part of what this website is for; if you have difficulties, there are people who can help you.

Because Provigil can be used to treat shift work sleep disorder, I believe a general practicioner could prescribe it.
