I don't know about "torture", but CPAP is so difficult for a large portion of people that they give up, and a bigger portion won't even try because they have decided it will be torture. I'm sure somebody here has the numbers. If people will give it a week or two, most will be like you, not even know they have it on.

One thing that is torture is watching commercials for all these crazy remedies for apnea that don't work.
