Thanks to both of you for your advice. Following your advice I think I have found the answer in a step down converter 240v to 110v from Amazon for the reasonable price of £13 delivered (about $20) the wattage by the way is 85. It should arrive by the end of the week and if it works with the HC 100 I will be delighted. I will write again when I have experimented with it because it could help European buyers of equipment made for North America. Thanks again, this forum is always helpful. EnglishEric
