Interesting post..I agree people should be well informed BEFORE they
get sent home with their CPAP. These dont work for everyone and for mild
cases there may be other options that should be considered first.

Most sleep centers dont work this way. You get your "diagnoses" you get
your CPAP and your out the door minus about 6 g's. I also find it
interesting that 30 years ago the diagnoses of sleep apnea was very rare
or virtualy non exsistent. Now we have sleep centers everywhere. Heck, I
dont live in a big city but I have 5 within about a 30 minute drive.
Whats up with this? No, it doesnt seem people were dropping dead from
OSA 30 years ago. I dont think I really know whats going on, but I now
view the industry with considerable skepticism. I think It needs better
regulation, and I can assure you If these centers were not getting such
good financial reimbursement there would be alot less of them.
