You know, I wonder if we ar born with apnea also. I always snored, and my brother has it, my niece has it, three cousins have it also. Is it inherited? Who knows. I know I wasn['t functioning when I didn't have the bi-pap machine. Could hardly lift my head up and thought I was dying from cancer or something. Now, with pressure of 16, I keep waking up from leaks from machine. It is frustrating, and I believe Respronics and other makers of head masks should make a mold of each person's face and tailor make their masks. Not everyone's face is the same. So, how can they possibly fit you right?
Anyway, you should really wear your mask. It's not fun, but I know I did damage to my heart from not knowing I had it. You will get somewhat use to it.
