I was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea. I had 90 episodes in 1 hour and my blood oxygen was at 40% the entire time. I never did hit REM sleep. With the CPAP on I did not have any episodes and my Oxygen level was at 90%. Needless to say this was why I was falling asleep at work. Being new to all of this I was wondering if anyone out there could answer some questions?

I have been on the CPAP machine for a week now and do feel better (not sleeping at all during the day.) but I still feel somewhat tired and a bit foggy. My machine is set at 20 so I can't turn it up any more. I was wondering if the results should be immediate, or might I continue to feel more improvement?

My nose is dry and I am having to blow it constantly and have frequent blood. What do people use to help this (ie saline spray) problem? The machine is humidifying.

Any assistance anyone can give me would be appreciated.
Thanks

I posted this earlier, but I can't find it. Unsure where I posted it to?
