Read your post and I am having the same problem as you only sleeping 2-3 hrs at a time with the pap. I have two things that might help you, as you have allready figured the nasal prongs may not be working for you as for some people the air passed through the nose escapes through the mouth.
I tried the ultra mirage, the fischer and pascel 413 and then the ZZZ full face mask available from one of the larger online stores for only $90.00. The ZZZ mask was the only one that didn't leak or leave huge dents in my nose and forehead. It is flexible, comfortable and about half the price of the others.
If the airpressure is the issue maybe a bipap or autopap would help with the comfort. Good Luck.
