Thanks BC, I slept with CPAP, then Bipap, for over one year straight. Like you implied it takes a while to get use to it, but eventually I did get use to it. However, I felt worse (or at least no better) with the CPAP/Bipap than w/o it.
Althought the sleep test I had 3 years ago showed little to no central sleep apnea, I tend to think central is the problem for me. I say this for two main reasons: 1. CPAP/Bipap doesn't help me, 2. I don't snore at all!
I am deperate so I recently purchased and O2 concentator as from what I've read that seems to help central apnea. The Dr didn't see a need for it but I managed to get one. Unfortunately I don't know how much O2 to set the machine at and am leary about using it with out some good guidance. But deperate times call for deperate measures and that is where am at. I have an appointment tomorrow with my Dr. to see what he thinks about the O2 concentrator.
