Doctors want to ignore insomnia

My husband recently had 2 sleep studies and found mild apnea. 2nd study showed 114 spontaneous (non respiratory arousals). His main problem he feels is insomnia, and while he has been prescribed a CPAP machine, the doctors have little to say about the insomnia.

CPAP won't help his insomnia, right? It's so frustrating working with sleep doctors at Kaiser who only seem to know about apnea & restless leg.

Anyone else had the apnea/insomnia overlap? If so, what helped you?
