The way it HAS affected our lives is that the exhaust on the machine points at him during the night, and wakes him up...so...as a result..I sleep in the other room. I do understand why you're upset, I was too at first when I was first diagnosed (1997) I have adjusted over the years and do what I need to do because I'm afraid of the health consequences if I DON'T use my CPAP. Maybe there's a mask out there that doesn't blow in his face, but I went through a lot of masks to get one that actually didn't blow off my face...so not sure if there's a solution to this for me. You will get used to it eventually....take care.
