You may not need a bipap.
My doctor started me on a Remstar M-series Auto Aflex. It looks like that is now outdated, and the latest is apparently the PR System One RemStar Auto CPAP Machine with A-flex. The one that I had was a very nice machine, including very quiet and very portable (because of its small size). It seems to be one of the most popular. I would be sure to get one with a heated humidifier (whatever brand you get), particularly if you have any allergies. The A-flex provides some pressure relief when you exhale.
I personally had a lot of problems with water condensation, and later switched to a Fisher & Paykel SleepStyle 600. It has a heated tube that helps to prevent condensation, and also seems to have more humdity/climate settings so I was able to find a level that worked better for me. It's a great machine and even quieter, but not as portable (because of a larger water reservoir). (I have traveled with it; the case is light but much larger.) My doctor said my insurance wouldn't have approved it until I had first tried the other one; most people do fine without the heated tube, but it is a nice feature.
