Hi Sandman, sorry to take two months to follow up but it has taken quite a
while to resolve the throat problem. I went back to my medical practice 3
times in that first week seeing three different doctors - the second one
prescribed anti-biotics which made me sick - hence the third visit when I
consulted a German lady doctor who examined me more fully and said "that is
classic viral laryngitis and no amount of anti-biotics will clear it - only
time and your own body will that". She said it would take 4-5 weeks and it
did with some serious pain control medication, of course being laryngitis I
lost my voice many times which is unnerving. Thanks for your helpful advice
and I hope this helps anyone else who encounters this problem, it wasn't the
fault of the CPAP but that certainly exaggerated the problem for a while.
English Eric
