Fist let me state: If you haven't had a cpap study I highly recommend one. Arbitarily
setting pressure can be very dangerous.Bipap is an advanced machine typically used for patients at very high pressure. It
reduces the pressure when exhaling. With lower pressures, ~5-14cm (guess), basic CPAP is
all many people use.Bipap can be set in the CPAP mode and work just like cpap. As far as pressure goes, you
need to find out from your doctor your correct pressure. If he hasn't done a study he
may recommend a pressure having looked at your airway, ask you how you feel in the
morning then suggest another pressure. This is not the recommended procedure to find the
correct pressure and could take a month and be risky. At the end you wouldn't be sure is
you are at the best pressure.Sandman
