I use a ResMed VPAP Adapt SV. Our residential area has frequent power outages. At least two or three times a year. In a couple of cases we have been without power for several days. I am weary of checking into motels or begging to stay with relatives until the power returns. While shopping in Home Depot I noticed several relatively inexpensive portable power supply units. For example the Black & Decker (Black & Decker VEC026BD ELECTROMATE 400 Portable Power Supply) or the Duracell (Duracell Powerpack 600 Power pack). Has anyone had experience using these units as backup for their CPAP machines? A cursory look suggests that either of these devices would easily allow at least 8 hours of sleep. They could be recharged during the day and used again the following evening if necessary. I understand the I cannot use my humidifier with these portable power supplies. Any feedback would be appreciated. TIA.
