Yes, kids have sleep apnea. However, there seems to be little awareness among parents. I just read that celebrities with this disorder are trying to call attention to it now.

My daughter works with small children and she is concerned that some of them may have apnea. Parents seem to busy these days to pay attention to their little ones when they are sleeping.

It sounds like your doc is on the right track. I've heard this resolves snoring and apnea in kids. It's great you are reaching out and asking questions to help you make the right decision.
