Let’s see how he’s doing on the “ordinary” CPAP. If he’s doing well, I would drop the matter. If he’s having an issue, then I’d look further.

One caveat here; don’t talk him into thinking that he needs anything other than what he has. If he does, he’ll know and you’ll know.
