It sounds as if the CPAP itself is helping; you might do better posting this in the insomnia forum. They might be better equipped to help you.
Naps can be helpful to some people, but my understanding is that they get in the way of treating insomnia. You want to get yourself in a regular rhythm, and naps can interfere with that.
I've had bouts with insomnia at times, and know how frustrating that can be even over the short term. One thing that helps me a little is the knowledge that, when we feel that we have insomnia, we often sleep more than we realize. (My sleep test showed that I was often sleeping when I thought I had been awake, and often waking up when I thought I had been asleep. The second part is due to apnea.) I don't say that to minimize your insomnia, but because frustration with not being able to sleep can get in the way of sleeping. If I can get myself not to worry over whether I am getting enough sleep, that actually helps me to get more sleep.
Take care.
