Posted by jerjen on January 31, 2012 at 09:05:49:I started using a CPAP on 1/24/12 at a pressure of 13cm. I really haven’t had any issues with compliance, and wear my mask all night, which is usually 9 hours. The first two mornings which would have been the 25th, and 26th I woke up feeling like a whole new person, felt better than I had in 20 years. Was able to think much sharper, and really didn’t feel tired at all. However, from the 27th on I haven’t woken up with that same feeling, instead I have been tired in the mornings like I used to feel. I was wondering if my machine was still blowing out the pressure it was supposed to as it felt a little weaker to me, so I took it in to have it checked yesterday 1/30/12, but it checked out ok, so it must just be that I have gotten a little more used to the pressure. My machine tracks air leaks as well as AHI, it is currently showing 0% air leaks, with .5 AHI which I am assuming is ok. I have spoken to Dr, as well as sleep therapist, but nobody seems to know what I should, or shouldn’t be experiencing. All I know is that I felt great for two mornings, then everything returned, but that I would do nearly anything to feel the way I did for those two days.
