You're probably in the wrong forum since this one deals with CPAP. (This site and other sites offer other forums that discuss alternative approaches. Try some of them and you might find people who can be of more help.) It can take time for CPAP to make a difference, but if you saw a sleep specialist a few years ago then I'm assuming you've had plenty of time on CPAP.

There are alternatives such as surgery and oral appliances. Maybe your doctor could provide medical reasons for the surgery that would allow it to be covered even when sleep therapy is not.

Take care. There are a lot of us here who understand how difficult it can be to go without sleep.
