In regard to an antidepressant, you may want to ask your doctor to consider using one of the older antidepressants such as Amitriptyline since it is the only antidepressant found to most closely replicate the normal sleeping pattern. It is also about one tenth of the price of the newer drugs like Zoloft and Prozac. Doctors seem to be more quick to prescribe the newer drugs because the pharmaceutical companies market them.
