I have been on CPAP for around two months, now.
I wear disposable contact lenses, which you can sleep with. I noticed awhile back that when I first awoke my vision was blurred, especially in my right eye. It seemed like a film had formed on my contact lens, my eye, or both. After several minutes and rinsing my eyelids it would gradually clear up, although it would return occasionally during the day. My eyes also began to tear excessively throughout the day.

My doctor diagnosed "allergic conjunctivitis" and gave me some eyedrops. After about a week, during which I had to wear my "hated" eyeglasses I seem to be doing much better and now can wear my contact lenses again.

If your eyes are tearing and even slightly itchy you might want to consider the possibility and see a doctor. Unlike "Pinkeye" your eye will not necessarily be red. However, if your eyes are blurry all day long you might want to have an eye doctor check you out.

There was a posting earlier on this forum questioning a possible path from your nose into your tear ducts which allowed air from your CPAP to get into your eyes. Don't know if there is anything to it, but I guess a doctor could confirm whether it is true. This could explain my recent problems and possibly yours.

Good Luck,

Walt
