Recurring Sinus/Ear infections

Posted by Kevint53 on October 24, 1999 at 08:38:33:

Hello, fellow sleep apneacs!! I started on cpap about a year ago and seem to be having a steady stream of sinus and ear infections. I have always had problems with ear infections since I was knee high to a grasshopper, but do not remember having any previous sinus problems! Has anyone else run into these problems? I do have a heated humidifier which initially helped with my dryness problem. I get hissing in my ears constantly off and on throughout a typical day. Otosclerosis seems to run in my family as well, as my neices were successfully treated for it. Could this downgrade the effectiveness of the cpap? Please share any similar experiences so I can again become the social butterfly I once was!!
