I just read this some months after your initial post. Just to add my own experience, about 3 years ago I started experiencing a night time problem of waking up continually during the night. This was accompanied by a rapid heartbeat and a strange feeling in my throat and tongue. I was never tested for sleep apnea, but I was tested for heart arhythmia by a cardiologist. I was told I could have an ablation (heart surgery) to fix the arhythmia. Instead, on the advice of an alternative health practitioner, I started using a small amount of natural progesterone cream every day for two weeks of the month (the last 2 weeks of my cycle). All of those symptoms disappeared and have basically been gone since then. Once in a while if they start to come back, I just know I need to up the amount of pregesterone cream I use, and the symptoms disappear again.
I think it's really worth a try. You may have to experiment with the amount of progesterone cream you use. Use only natural progesterone, not synthetic. I'd be interested to hear if it works on others.
