a success story- post surgery

First of all, thank you to all who have offered hints through these forums for those contemplating UPPP surgery. We made note of many of these suggestions as my husband approached his 10/18 surgical date for a somnoplasty, tonsillectomy and soft tissue removal for a "mild to moderate" case of sleep apnea, along with awful snoring. He came through surgery very easily and was cooking and eating a spagetti dinner on day 3, post surgery. NO earache, jaw ache, headache at all, certainly some pain with the throat which he is easily managing with 4 hour doses of percocet. He is talking normally, although not constantly yet and took a hike in the woods with me on post surgery day 6.The humidifier in our room at night, nose drops, the percocent and an ulcer med named cephlafin or something like that has helped soothe his throat. All in all, not such a big deal. So have faith folks, for at least some people, all this surgery can work out fine. Of course ,we won't know how much it affects his problems for a while, but at least the surgery wasn't too bad.Childbirth is worse, trust me.
