Now that unit you have for camping is exactly what I had in mind. They had a clearance on them locally some time ago and the Hams snatched them up. They are great emergency power sources for Low power radios.

I missed the sale but I have about sixteen 22-26 Amp Hour Gel Cells I got from when they were being discarded by the Bio-Med department of the hospital I used to work at. The biggest problem is where to store them where they can be conveniently accessed and utilized. I've run my 100 watt Ham Radio station all weekend on a group of them in parallel when my power supply crapped out. Right now they are not in a good location and, with the earthquakes upon us again, I guess I'd better quit procrasinating and get them set up again.
