Good question!
I don't know the answer, but a few days ago I asked myself "what happens if I have an accident, have to be operated, and get Apnea on the operation table?"
Because during an operation they bring you to sleep, and if they don't know I have sleep apnea, what will be their reaction? Will they know what is happening?
I think I will have to have a sort of warning with me "I have have severe sleep apnea", in my wallet or whatever.
This no answer to your question, but I just had to write it down.....
