after surgeries

Posted by Lorraine Reade on November 13, 1999 at 19:08:12:

Hello,

My name is Lorraine. I am a 47 year old female in good health. I am thin, exercise, and eat right. I have had sleep apnea for probably at least 10 years. Earlier this year I had two surgeries - septoplasty and LAUP (removal of the uvala). I had a follow up sleep test that said I do not have sleep apnea anymore. Since these surgeries I sleep better over all, but I still don't feel rested about half of the time, sometimes I toss and turn, etc. My question is when does a person go back to getting a good nights sleep on a regular basis? At this point, my sleep problem is probably psychological right? Any suggestions, ideas or referrals would be appreciated. Thank you.
