Hi Russ,

So sorry for your tragic loss.
I have a lifelong history of severe sleep apnea, which I told the hospital doctors when I was operated on for a shattered ankle..it was major surgery & I was in agony & was told by my doctor that I would have typically been given morphine because of the severity of the the pain, but was given demerol instead, because of the apnea. He felt morphine was too strong for me because of the apnea. I wonder..did the doctor who gave him the morphine know he had apnea?
