You certainly have good reason to be concerned. I assume that your physicians have already ivestigated the head trauma concerns if not this is an area that needs to be checked. I worked in an adolescent psych hospital and many youngsters who had head traumas displayed symptoms like those you described. Of course, as the others have detailed, these can also be the results of one or more sleep disorders. It sure sounds like you folks and your son has been through a lot already but it seems that further diagnostic work needs to be completed. A sleep specialist and neurologist working together might be able to help. I'm not too sure how much the psychiatric field would be helpful but if all else fails you might look into it. I hope you can find out what is causing the changes and get some help. Good luck.
